Mizar head torch

"Good luminary distance and versatile strap. Very happy with the purchase."

Everyday use

"I love the how this one toggles between full beam- low dipped- red light- flashing red, I use the full beam for cycling to work and back which especially this time of year is perfect for the darkness coming in, an absolute essential now, I use the red light for reading my books at night, perfect for my eyes keeping them away from the unnatural and unnecessary blue light and also the red light is amazing for keeping the midnight beasties away!"

Bad for military use

"Bought this as a backup for my main touch. The touch it’s self falls off the mount whenever moved up and down It was very hard to open (which could be a good thing) to get the battery in. The way it attaches to the strap feels flimsy. The up side is none of this issues are a problem in civilian use and it’s not broken when the thing falls off it’s all fixable but I won’t be using this for anything other then holding in my hand on a run."

Mark R. (2/5)

"Out in the wilderness you might be glad to just fish out another three AAA batteries rather than searching for a power source to pump up a re-chargeable: but the batteries don’t last all that long by comparison. A neat fail safe feature is that the red light option is mandatory when power runs low. The white light has a centered spot, making it less well adapted to reading in a powercut than the more diffused (but more expensive) famous name head torches. Both types have their advantages."
