Good Access

"I needed a pack of this size, in order to hold my DSLR, macro flash and extra lens in separate padded pouches, plus extra clothing. To enable easy access to it all, I prefer the clamshell type opening, so this pack fits the bill almost perfectly. The shoulder straps are wide and firm, so enable the carrying of weight in comfort, once they broke in and formed themselves to my shape. external side pockets but molle pouches can be fitted to serve that purpose. The front pockets are roomy and as I don't use a hydration system, that pocket is also available for flatter, flexible items. There are a couple of features I would have paid extra to have been included, those being load adjustment straps on the harness and a couple of D rings on the front of the shoulder harness, for attaching things like a GPS and camera small camera pouch, but for the price, this is a robust and well featured pack, which will hopefully las many years."

Harrier back pack

"I was surprised when I opened the zips to see how many compartments it has and still have plenty of space to put more stuff in if needed to be honest I don't have anymore stuff to put in this back pack so for me from now on I will be buying from highlander forces excellent back pack all round ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️😀👌"

Sadly disappointed; split stitches & webbing slips

"Unfortunately mine didn’t seem to hold up to much weight (11kg on the scale), and what I thought before using it properly was going to be a great bit of kit, ended up letting me down. On (what was supposed to be) my first proper trip with it, the stitching in the shoulder straps where the webbing buckles are hidden all split, and the webbing then bunched up in said buckles resulting in the shoulder straps slipping loose every few steps uphill, and my having to keep pulling the webbing tight again. I had to cancel my 14 day trip after the first night as I couldn’t carry on with it. I had been hoping to make use of the MOLLE for attaching additional pouches, but if it can’t hold up to the relatively moderate weight I was carrying then, I don’t have much faith in attaching anything to it. Further to the webbing straps, they don’t seem close to as durable as that which you can find on the old PLCE bergens. Also, the buckles on the shoulder straps don’t seem to have been stitched to anything sturdy other than a bit of canvas hidden inside the strap. I believe this is a design flaw; they should be stripped flat and through the whole shoulder strap to keep them from twisting etc."

Superb bit of kit

"As usual, very well made backpack, solid construction and comfortable 👌 Big enough for most weekends, great storage/access. Should last years. Buy one!"

Fantastic multi-purpose backpack

"A fantastic clamshell backpack that I have used on trips away and hiking. It is packed with useful pockets and the interior side mesh pockets and moveable organiser were some of my favourites! My only minor criticism would be that a removeable waist strap would have been a great quality of life feature across the range."

Huge storage for a little bag

"Amazing bit of kit, bought to carry laptop and work related items on site daily its certainly more than ticked the box, the only point worth mentioning is allow an extra 5 mins when looking for something in the bag as it will take sometime to remember and search the large amount of usable pockets lol. Really Happy and its now replaced my Camelback Motherlode. Thanks Highlander for a well thought out usable product."
